Jean-Alexandre De Bousquet

Founder

Firm founder, known to clients as Alex. In 2014 he was named one of Ontario's leading experts in human rights law by Legal Action Magazine. He represents clients before the courts and tribunals of Ontario in both official languages and handles wrongful dismissal, workplace discrimination, breach of contract, fraud and commercial disputes. Alex is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Andrew Ostrom

Senior Partner

Andrew Ostrom practices civil litigation and handles a variety of matters including contractual and shareholder disputes, construction litigation, property matters, employment claims and partnership disputes. Andrew was called to the Bar in 2014 and holds degrees from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law and York University. Prior to joining our firm, Andrew articled and practiced at a commercial litigation firm in downtown Toronto. He has litigated a diverse range of matters including trials, appeals, motions, applications, and hearings before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Divisional Court, Superior Court, Small Claims Court, Licence Appeal Tribunal, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Landlord and Tenant Board and the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatchewan. Mengdan Li

Mengdan's practice focuses on employment law and civil litigation, representing both employers and employees. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and various administrative tribunals, with extensive experience in wrongful dismissal claims, shareholder disputes and real property litigation.

Thomas completed his Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he won the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for Ethical Lawyering. He holds a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, earned with High Distinction, and practises employment law with the firm.

Ray Luo

Senior Associate

Ray is a graduate of Western University Faculty of Law, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree with Honors. Prior to law school, Ray completed a degree in Business Management and Organizational Studies with a specialization in Finance at Western University. Ray was called to the bar in 2024 and currently practices in the areas of general civil litigation, landlord and tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and immigration law, with a particular focus on employment-related matters. Ray is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is able to provide legal services in either language. Outside of work, Ray enjoys playing the saxophone, hiking, cooking, and reading.

Dmitriy Bogolybov

Prior to his law degree, Dmitriy worked for over a decade as a Litigation Law Clerk at a well-known North York law firm. Dmitriy obtained his Master’s Degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Juris Doctor Degree from Griffith University (Queensland, Australia), as well as an MBA from Uzbekistan. Outside of his legal pursuits, Dmitriy also accomplished his long-term goal of becoming a certified fencing referee and a licensed fencing coach. Dmitriy also enjoys cooking for the family and loves exploring new places with his family and friends. Dmitriy is fluent in Russian and highly proficient in Uzbek, which enables him to connect with diverse clients.

Annie Zhuang

Annie Zhuang is savvy advocate with an interdisciplinary background. Her current practice is exclusively in family law, where she applies her dispute resolution skills in and out of court. She is experienced in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. Annie has a compassionate yet no-nonsense approach to assisting clients in all types of family matters, be it amicable or high conflict. She is conversant in Chinese (Mandarin) and is in the process of obtaining family mediator accreditation. Outside of work, Annie regularly attends arts and music events, fosters dogs, travel when possible, and does her best to not “look” like a lawyer.
